Very friendly owner. We found the place from the Lonely planet but was pretty much empty though. Not sure why as the portion were pretty big and the food was awesome. At the end, as in many others places, we were offered free dessert and raki. Loved it!

Found this family restaurant after arriving in Heraklion late. Served us at 2300hrs. Great grilled fish and Octopus. House white is good. Really nice staff...the matriarch does the cooking. Going again tomorrow.

If there was an option to give 6 starts, I would. The owners are giving their heart to the food, and you can feel it through your whole dinner experience. We were a group of friends, tried out many meals from the menu, and we were satisfied from everything! Their house wine is also so good quality. The atmosphere of the little square it is located adds a lot too. In the end, we were served as gratis a womderful greek dessert, something like a milk pie Thumbs up, great people!

The food was fresh and insanely delicious! The restaurant also seemed to be popular with locals, which is always a good sign. We had stuffed vine leaves, bread and pasta with scampi for 2 people, a bottle of water and 2 cola. It was all insanely delicious and we were very full. We paid 33 incl. tip. Price performance is top. We would come back anytime. There is also a small plus for the kittens who slept leaning against the tables on the floor. They let themselves be stroked and were not intrusive.

Simple food, expertly executed. Family run. I blew kisses at the cook while I ate. That is not like me. I was compelled to make the staff take a photo with me. That is not like me either. I love this place so much I will travel from Canada back to Heraklion just for a meal here. Seriously. Eat here.

Neat tavern with welcoming hosts, we have tryed spaghetti with shrimps and classic Greek salad and they were quite good for reasonable price. The portion of the spaghetti could be even too huge for two persons tbh. Also after the dish they compliment us with delicious piece of homemade pie.

Amazing food and excellent service, the Cretan food and the people are just wonderful. We ate twice at this restaurant and enjoyed everything we had ordered. Grilled Sea bream, Calamari, lamb chops, snails, salads, wild mushrooms, saganaki, mashed split peas.. all so so good plus a complimentary dessert …
